Prolonged Phone Outages

We are still experiencing issues with the transition to our new phone system. The primary issues are related to call routing and audio delivery.

Some Changes This Week

We will be closed to new customers this week (7/21/25 – 7/24/25) while we work through a large backlog that has been accrued over the past 2 weeks.

The phone issue seems to be mostly resolved and we will begin to clear our backlog to return to normal next week.

If you currently have a computer that has been dropped off, you will get contacted when it is ready. Otherwise, please call or email us to arrange pickup.

Expected Phone Outages

We will be working to transition our VOIP phones to a new PBX system from today 7/9/2025 until 7/11/2025.

The system is expected to work normally for most of this time but there may be issues with call routing and voicemails. We will not be changing to our phone number, so there is no need to expect a change there.

Recent Service Interruptions

There have been three big factors affecting the quality of service we have been able to provide in the recent weeks.

First, I have been sick on and off for the last 2-3 weeks. I believe I am over the hump and things should get better by the end of this week and going into next week.

Second, we have been dealing with unstable electrical service from Georgia Power this month. There have been 2 outages this month which lasted longer than our equipment batteries can last, meaning servers and computers have gone offline. This has also caused some issues with our website and phone systems.

And finally, it’s been hot. Our building was built in 1939 and was not built with air conditioning in mind, to compound on that the previous owners removed the old AC unit and one we installed failed earlier last winter. Combining the high indoor temperatures and my recent sickness, it has not been easy to get work done.

If you have been trying to reach us, I am very sorry about the inconvenience this all has caused. Right now we are still recovering from the last power outage which means phone services may be inconsistent. Week of 4/21/25 Business Hours Fluctuations

There’s currently a sickness going around so our hours may be more inconsistent. We’re going to aim for the usual 10-4 Monday-Thursday but it’s going to be hard to garauntee at the moment. For best results, give us a call before swinging by or aim to come by after 12pm. Apologies for any inconvenience! Hopefully things will be back to normal next week.

Windows 11 Is Coming

Don’t forget that Windows 10 is reaching the end of its life on October 14th 2025. After that point the operating system will no longer receive updates. This means that the built in Windows Defender antivirus will quickly become outdated and may become ineffective. If you use a third party antivirus software (Malwarebytes, BitDefender, McAfee, etc) you may have more time to upgrade. Please check with your antivirus provider for more details. Come see us today to have your computer assessed for an upgrade to Windows 11 or a data transfer to a new computer already running Windows 11!

Our newest employee, a cat?

Please say hello to our newest addition, Gooby! Her official title is Customer Service and she is our best furry companion.

One day, late last year, we had to install a ladder on the back of our building. While doing so, we left the back door open all day. Suddenly, a creature appeared from the shadows. What could it be? Oh, a cat. This cat just walked into the shop, made friends with everyone, and never left. Ever since we’ve taken care of her and kept her around as the most experienced customer service representative we have ever had.

Since completing renovations late last year we have been able to finally open for walk ins once again with some new hours.

As of this post, our new operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 10am to 4pm.

Appointment Requirement and Availability Updates

Hello everyone,

We will be making some important changes over the next 2 weeks which will change how our service works on a fundamental level.

Next week, we will be closed on Monday Jul 25th and Tuesday Jul 26th for various personal and business related reasons. When we return on Wednesday Jul 27th, we will start a move towards appointment only service.

From Wednesday Jul 27th to Thursday Jul 28th we will be heavily prioritizing appointments and walk-ins will no longer be guaranteed, however, they will be served if they do not conflict with existing appointments.

Starting Monday August 1st we will move entirely to appointment only service meaning that no walk-ins will be served. We will be accepting appointments online, over the phone, through text, or even by email depending on the specific service you need.

To offset the arguably lessened availability due to requiring appointments, we will also be opening Friday afternoons for appointments to improve our flexibility and lower the barrier to entry.
